Ernst manages a team of attorneys and paralegals responsible for all Regency litigation, including landlord-tenant matters, bankruptcies, construction issues, and business disputes.
 
Before joining Regency Centers in 2009, Ernst worked as a commercial litigator at Foley & Lardner. Ernst also served as an Assistant State Attorney for eight years, prosecuting a broad spectrum of criminal cases.
 
He received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1992 and a J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1995.
 
Ernst is an active member of the Florida Bar, a current member of the Bar’s 4th Circuit Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee, and was the past Chairman of the Bar’s 4th Circuit Grievance Committee. He is also active with the Northeast Florida Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
 
Outside the office, Ernst supports the YMCA and United Way. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, exercising, playing on his community tennis team, and cheering for the Florida Gators.
